Information you give us

When you submit the contact form we collect the first name, last name, email address, phone number and message you enter, along with the page the form was submitted from and your chosen language. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and to keep a record of the correspondence.

When you submit a security request through our embedded request form, the answers you provide are collected so we can prepare a quote and respond.

If you apply for a role with us by email, we use the details you send only to assess your application.

Information collected automatically

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, approximate location derived from your IP address, referring website, device and browser. This data is processed by Google and is used in aggregate; we do not use it to identify individual visitors.

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by using your browser’s cookie controls, by enabling a do-not-track or tracking-protection setting, or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Payments

Course fees, criminal record checks and shop purchases are processed by Stripe on Stripe-hosted checkout pages. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s systems and are never received or stored by Harris Security. Stripe processes your payment and contact details as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.

Service providers we share information with

We use a small number of third parties to run this website: Google Analytics for site statistics, Google Maps for the embedded office maps, Typeform for the security request form, Stripe for payments, and Mailgun to deliver contact-form emails to our inboxes. Each receives only the information needed to perform its function.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and application correspondence only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and to meet our legal and business record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, request a copy of it, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to retain it. You may also withdraw consent to further contact at any time.

Security

This website is served over HTTPS, and enquiry data is transmitted to our email provider over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold.
